About
Putting back the backup the cloud took away.
Why Vaultelix exists
Not long ago, a small business kept its files on a server in the office, and something copied that server to a drive or a tape every night. It wasn’t glamorous, but there was a second copy, and it lived somewhere else.
Then the files moved to Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox and Box. That was a good move: the files became available everywhere, and the hardware stopped being anyone’s problem. What quietly went away was the second copy. The cloud service became the only place the files lived.
Cloud providers are very good at keeping files available. They are not in the business of protecting you from what happens inside your own account: a deletion nobody noticed, a sync that overwrote the right version, an account that got taken over or locked. Their trash and version history help, but they sit in the same account and expire on the provider’s schedule.
Vaultelix is that second copy again, kept in storage that belongs to you and checked by someone whose job is to check it.
How we work
A few rules we don’t bend.
Read-only, always
We ask for the least access that lets us copy your files, and we never change anything in your account.
Nothing gets deleted by us
Your backup only ever grows. Data is removed only when you ask.
Test, don’t assume
A backup job that finished isn’t proof. We regularly test that files can actually be restored.
Tell you when it needs you
If a backup stops working because of something on your side, you hear about it with the specific cause.
Only claim what’s true
No certifications we don’t hold, and no numbers we can’t show.
Your files are your business
We look after your backup, not your files. We don’t browse them.
